The utah high school cycling league has seen exponential growth since the inaugural season in 2012.

But, each year girls make up only 20% of our ridership.

It's time to get #moregirlsonbikes

GRiT is kicking off in 2018 as a nationwide program to promote more girls riding bikes and participating in NICA. The Utah League will be working to increase female participation through outreach and events.

grit mentors

We are looking for GRiT Mentors for the 2019 season!
GRiT Mentors are current female Utah League student athletes who have raced for at least one year and are excited to get more girls on bikes. One female student-athlete from each team will be selected as a GRiT mentor.  For those teams that contain both middle school and high school student-athletes, one GRiT mentor will be chosen for each age group.

GRiT Mentors will be invited to their regional GRiT Summit and asked to help with other GRiT programming in their region.

Application to be a mentor is now closed, please reach out to ginger@utahmtb.org for questions
