Spencer Shaffer

Spencer started his passion for cycling a very young age. It started as a simple mode of transportation while growing up in rural Idaho, and later transitioned to participating in several events throughout the western states. Spencer is now an avid recreational cyclist and is a multiple time finisher of LOTOJA. He loves the challenge of cycling and the life balance that it provides. Spencer understands the impact that cycling has on the lives of teenagers and is an advocate of getting kids on bikes.

As the Founding Board President, Spencer brings extensive organizational development and strategic business planning experience to the Utah League Board. Spencer is the Founder & CEO of Myelin Resources, a national information technology & consulting and executive search firm. Spencer has been recognized by Utah Business Magazine as a 2010 top “40 Under 40” business leaders in Utah. He has also been featured as an executive search & technology consulting expert in several national and regional publications & radio shows such as CIO Update On-line, Connect Magazine, Dallas Business Journal, Denver Business Journal, Orange County Register, Deseret News, KSL-Night Side Radio, Salt Lake Tribune, Troy Media Corporation, Utah Business and Utah CEO Magazine.

Spencer can often be found out on the bike with his supportive wife of 20 years and 3 children (his son & daughter raced for one of the local high school teams in the Utah league).
